worship
God created us to worship Him. He is worthy of our expressions of love, adoration, appreciation, and dependence. We believe worship is a 24/7 part of life for God’s created beings, and yet we also see the importance of gathering together to celebrate and learn from the One who created us.
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
- Hebrews 13:15 NKJ
Sunday Worship Gatherings
Calvary Memorial Church is located at the corner of Birch and 18th in Gering, Nebraska. We gather each Sunday morning at 10:30 to glorify God through corporate praise and worship with a distinct focus on the relevant teaching of the Bible.
Weekly Prayer Gatherings
We hold a very high view of personal and corporate prayer. One of the ways we worship God is to bring to Him our praises, thanksgivings, and requests.
MVP (Most Valuable Prayer-Partners) meets at 8:30 on Sunday mornings for the express purpose of taking the day's activities before God, seeking His blessing and empowering on the Sunday School, Nursery, Children’s Church, Youth Activities, and Worship Services. Currently the men meet in two different classrooms and the ladies meet in the church library.
A Sunday Evening Prayer Meeting happens each week at 6:00 p.m. and is open to all who desire to labor in prayer for our church, congregation, community, country, and world.
Prayer Cells are teams of 3 or 4 who covenant to meet at least every other week at a designated day, time, and place to draw close to each other and to God in prayer.
A Telephone Prayer Line can be called daily to receive prayer request updates that are called into the church office. The number is (308) 630-4130 and is available 24 hours a day.
